Our Story

I’m Caitlin, the queen bee of our happy little family.

My beekeeping journey began when my husband, Chris, asked what I wanted for my 30th birthday. While most women may ask for a weekend away or fancy jewelry, I asked for bees.

“…Bees? Are you serious?” Chris looked at me skeptically with his eyebrows raised into his hairline, surely flashing back to the one time I accidentally released 1500 ladybugs in the house.

“Yeah! It would be a fun new hobby, don’t you think?” I replied, smiling ear to ear.

What I didn’t realize was that my cool, new hobby would turn into my passion. I’ve always found bees fascinating, but this endeavor has given me a new sense of profound respect & admiration for these amazing creatures.

I am committed to providing quality products that are naturally & sustainably sourced from hive to home. I am determined to continue my education in beekeeping and achieve my Vermont Beekeeper Certification through the Vermont Beekeeper’s Association (VBA). I am excited to share the knowledge I gain and discuss the importance of sustainability and pollinator species with those in our community.

…and for those of you who want to support our little pollinators but don’t quite want to take up beekeeping, the best thing you can do is to plant an amazing flower garden!
